What an honour it was to be nominated for a Huron County Cultural Award! The
Goderich Makers Market
was nominated under the Community Contribution category which recognizes the significant impact someone has made on the cultural community of Huron County. After such an exciting season, which saw more than 5,000 people visit us at the Huron County Museum, it feels pretty darn great to be recognized.
What are the Huron County Cultural Awards, anyway? Presented by Huron Arts & Heritage Network, the Cultural Awards celebrate the best in arts, culture and heritage in the County. Interested in enjoying a great night out celebrating the arts, culture and heritage in the County? The awards gala takes place Friday, May 6 at the White Carnation in Holmesville. As well as recognizing the nominees and winners, the evening also features entertainment by a variety of Huron County artists, including Juno-nominated musician Lyndon John X, Huron Harp School, and National Champion Fiddler Gerry Smith. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres, desserts and cash bar. Tickets are $20 and can be purchases through the Blyth Festival box office at 519-523-9300 or toll free at 1-877-862-5984.
