BABY, IT'S HOT OUTSIDE

I don't like the heat. It makes me cranky. Tired. Unmotivated. Especially when it comes to being in the kitchen. Ice cream for dinner? Heck yes! But a family with two growing boys can only get away with such meals for so long. I needed something that was quick, easy and required minimal appliances. Thankfully, inspiration was found in a single bottle of barbecue sauce. Hanna's Maple BBQ Sauce from Auburn, to be exact (bottles are now available at the Makers Mercantile). Pair this sauce with a Storey Farm pork roast picked up from the Goderich Farmers Market and you have yourself the easiest pulled pork ever made entirely from local products.

INSTRUCTIONS
Put the pork in a slow cooker, top with 1/2 a bottle of sauce and cook several hours. Just before serving, pull meat apart and top with more sauce to your liking. Pair with some locally grown greens, which are plentiful these days, or your favourite veg and dinner is served!
